My Top 3 Podcasts

I love podcasts. If you are unfamiliar with podcasts, they are essentially an on-demand radio program. They are (usually) free and there is a podcast about everything from Goldman Sachs and Tony Robins, all they way to a Cat Lovers podcast. I tend to learn more toward business and technology podcasts.

Podcasts can be an amazing resource for any business professional. Podcasts give you the ability to learn passively. I listen to podcasts in the morning for inspiration, at the gym, on long car rides, and even to fall asleep.  In the hour I spend at the gym, I can get into the mind of Tim Ferris, or on my 10-minute commute, hear an inspirational story from Mike Rowe.

I would encourage you to jump into the Apple Podcast app, PodBean, or Spotify and find a podcast for inspiration, education, or just plain fun.

My Top 3 podcast

1. How I Built This

How I Built This is a podcast about innovators, entrepreneurs, and idealists, and the stories behind the movements they built. Each episode is a narrative journey marked by triumphs, failures, serendipity and insight — told by the founders of some of the world’s best-known companies and brands. My favorite episode so far features Sara Blakely of Spanx.

2. The Tim Ferris Show

Often the #1 business podcast on Apple iTunes, and it’s been ranked #1 (of all 300,000+ podcasts) on many occasions.  It is the first business/interview podcast to pass 100,000,000 downloads, and it has been selected as iTunes’ “Best of 2014,” “Best of 2015,” and “Best of 2016” (most downloaded). Settle in for these podcasts because they are usually between 45 minutes and 2 hours long.

3. The Way I Heard it with Mike Rowe

All good stories have a twist, and all great storytellers are just a little twisted. Join Mike Rowe for a different take on the people and events that you thought you knew, from pop culture to politics, Hollywood to history… The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe is a series of short mysteries for the curious mind with a short attention span. Mike Rowe is hard not to like and his podcast is no different. These 10-minute stories are absolutely fantastic
